About Cancun Lagoons

Cancun Island was formed by the spring of several undergroung rivers next to the shore. Nowadays Cancun has a number seven shape and it is a natural barrier between the shore and the ocean.

It is an important ecological area with an extended wet lands region and serves as home to alligators, herons, cormorans, frigates, Pink spatula, swallows, ibis, etc., this blue lagoons are the nursery for many marine species that lay their eggs or give birth to their joung, including crocodile, barracuda and shark.
